Just outside Katrineholm, in the heart of Sweden’s scenic garden district, you will find Ericsberg with one of Sweden’s best preserved Baroque palaces. The area offers plenty to see, do and experience.

Take a relaxing walk in the beautiful Baroque Park, enjoy the collection of Swedish trees, exotic plants and delicate beauty of Fritillaria meleagris, Snake’s head lily, in the Spring Garden. The gorgeous Palace Park hosts a full scale replica of the famous Hampton Courts labyrinth!

The Orangery at Ericsberg was constructed during the 1850’s by the Swedish nobleman Carl Jedvard Bonde and is still used as originally intended, for the wintering of exotic plants. The well-preserved greenhouse boasts an impressive treasure of plants, including a 150 year old fig tree and one of Sweden’s oldest peach trees.

In Summer Ericsberg arranges a wide variety of events, from rally to concerts.

Drink & dine
There is a café with a gift shop which used to be the carriage house and stables for the noblemen’s horses. This is now a conference centre and Ericsberg’s Palace Café with shop. Relax in the genuine castle environment and enjoy fresh-baked cakes, tasty sandwiches and other specialities. Take a stroll through the gift shop to find something to remember your stay or nice gift for someone special. For updated opening hours, please contact us before your visit here.

At the Palace Museum you are taken back through a rich history and treated to the unique collection of, among other items, manor carriages ranging from the 1600’s until the early 1900’s. The museum displayed only when booked guided tours.
